A quick update about exciting things coming
It's been a while, so I wanted to create a post about what I've had in the pipeline on my side.
There is a short and long answer to why I haven't posted in a few months. The short answer is I've been focused on getting the ground under my feet and getting used to a new normal on my side. Since this is a quick update, I won't even get into the long answer, which I'll hopefully go over in the future. I wanted to write this to help describe some of the things I've been focused on that tie into this blog.
I've been working on multiple older projects, and kicked off two new projects I'm looking to get out into production and "into the wild", where I'll create a blog post for each and share them here. One project is more for my own learning, whereas the other is an expansion of one of the first production-grade projects I've built. I'm spending vastly more time and energy on that one, as I see it sticking around for a long time.
The homelab setup was of great use and is still being maintained and expanded on for a few other things I'm doing, such as diving back into databases with Postgres (just like I remember it!) but this time with some extra infrastructure under it: the whole k3s Kubernetes setup (haha).
Finally, I realized since moving to the bradtaniguchi.dev domain, I broke some of my GitHub Pages-based, front-end-only apps. I'll be reviewing and updating some of their links to make sure they are still pointing at the right domain.
Here's one I just fixed: it's a tiny game coded in a weekend using kaplay, https://bradtaniguchi.github.io/amissus-game-jam/
I used to focus on building more of these, but lately I've been focusing on full-stack apps that are cheaper to run. I have both a new and an old project being built this way right now, and look forward to sharing more about them here in the future.
Until next time, keep learning, keep building, keep asking questions!
